The CRC 1167 includes 20 scientific sub-projects from 15 different disciplines. Since each sub-project is assigned to two Spannungsfeldern, reference to the sub-projects is usually made only by stating the last name of the PI. In addition, the TP Ö is available for press and public relations work, the TP Z takes care of administrative tasks within the CRC and manages research data:
